Discover the mysteries around Calakmul, a Mayan city discovered by the archeologists in 1931. This full dome experience guides you through the Mayan architecture and its relationship with the starry sky and shows the biodiversity in the jungle using incredible time-lapse photography, 360° video, drone shots, computer-generated animations of 3D models and direct jungle audio in 5.1 channels.

Starting September to the end of December, shows will be presented on Tuesdays at 7 pm, and Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2:30 pm. Shows include a full-dome film accompanied by a star presentation. Online registration will close Friday, November 30th at 4:00 pm (MST). The Reindeer Run is Saturday, December 1st. 5K run and walk and 10K run and walk start at 9 am and the cost is $30 by November 30 and $35 on race day. We have a new event this year - The Elf Scramble. 4-5-year-olds will do .25 miles and 6-8 will do .50 miles - WITH PARENTS and VOLUNTEERS. Registration for the Elf Scramble will be on site - parents will need to sign a waiver upon registration. The Elf Scramble is $5 and participants receive a shirt and finisher medal. It is a non-timed event. All participants are asked to bring a can of food for the Homeless Coalition. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there and we will have door prizes, hot chocolate, and other surprises. There is an adult and youth costume contest also. We have the Reindeer Run gift fair going on during packet pickup and race Friday and Saturday.

Every second the Sun emits 1 million times more energy than the world consumes every year. Discover our star through the breathtaking time-lapse. Thanks to the real images taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory and processed by advanced mathematical methods, you will experience the true nature of the Sun and find out that it is far from being as calm as it seems at first glance.
This NASA-funded full dome show about the captivating northern lights. The show teaches about the causes of the aurorae and how humans who live beneath their shimmering light are inspired by what they see. The show discusses the geophysical effect of living with a star, and what role solar outbursts play in creating the aurorae. It teaches geophysics and earth science while giving your audiences a look at the dazzling aurorae through the eyes of scientists, photographers and local inhabitants who share their traditional views of this phenomenon.

Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a one-day upland game workshop and youth pheasant & quail hunt on December 1st. Youths 17 years of age or younger. 16 permits will be issued and 4 alternates will be drawn. The bag limit is 3 male Pheasant and 15 quail. ALL OTHER SPECIES ARE PROTECTED.
